PRODUCT

Outlook SMS

RESULT

Delivery without wasted trips

01 · BACKGROUND

The Problem

A building materials supplier delivers to dozens of private construction sites every day. Time and again, a driver with a crane truck arrived at a locked construction fence because nobody knew about the delivery. Every failed trip cost time, diesel, and often a second attempt the next day.

02 · SOLUTION

How SMS Solves the Problem

Dispatch plans all deliveries in the Outlook calendar and enters the builder's mobile number with a # sign. The day before, an SMS with the date, time window, and material is sent automatically. Shortly before departure, the dispatcher sends a second SMS directly from Outlook to let the builder know the driver is on the way.

The Benefits

BENEFIT 01

No more wasted trips

Builders know in advance and make sure the gate is open. The driver can unload right away.
BENEFIT 02

Easy to plan for builders

The SMS states the day, time window, and material. Anyone who can't be on site lets us know early enough, and the delivery is rescheduled.
BENEFIT 03

In the familiar Outlook

Dispatchers keep working with their calendar and address book. The free add-in installs quickly.
